You can eat mini sweet peppers just like you would eat something like baby carrots. Just dunk them in things like hummus, ranch dressing, or blue cheese dressing and gobble them up. We like to roast them in the oven sometimes for extra flavor and to switch things up.
Method
- Cut the pepper in half, remove the stalk and seeds and discard.
- Cut the deseeded pepper into quarters, then steam for 12-15 minutes until soft.
- Remove the skin (see notes for our top tip), then slice into sticks before serving to baby.
It's OK to eat bell peppers every day, but some people may need to limit their intake to one per day. Consuming too many bell peppers may cause gas and bloating in some, due to their high fiber content. It's also a good idea to include a variety of fruits and vegetables in your diet.
