Baraghani left Bon Appétit in 2021 to work on a cookbook, The Cook You Want to Be (2022), which contains recipes and essays that cover his personal life and career. The book won a James Beard Award.
Andy Baraghani is a cook, food writer, video personality, and the author of The Cook You Want To Be. Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Andy grew up watching a lot of cooking shows on PBS while learning to cook at home under the careful supervision of his mother (and with the help of a footstool).
